1. Cinderella bowl liners

A Cinderella bowl liner must be placed in the toilet before every use, including urination. The liner hygienically carries the waste from the bowl into the incineration chamber and helps keep the toilet clean.

2. Electricity costs for the Cinderella Comfort

The Cinderella Comfort uses standard 230–240V mains electricity for the incineration process.

Its heating element operates at up to 2kW, and an average incineration cycle uses approximately 1–2kWh of electricity.

This is the cost of an incineration cycle, not necessarily the cost of one toilet visit. The Cinderella can accept additional visits while an incineration cycle is underway, so several uses may be processed together.

Usage patterns make a significant difference. A toilet used several times over a short period will generally be more energy-efficient per visit than a toilet that completes a separate cold-start cycle after each use.

The Comfort also uses only around 0.5W in standby mode, making its standby electricity consumption very low.

3. LPG costs for the Cinderella Freedom

The Cinderella Freedom is designed for off-grid homes, cabins, baches and other locations where mains electricity is unavailable or unsuitable.

It uses LPG for incineration and a small 12V DC power supply for the control panel and ventilation fan. The model listed by ECOASH uses approximately 160–190g of LPG per incineration cycle.

The cost per cycle depends on:

• The price you pay to refill or exchange your LPG bottle
• How much waste is being processed
• Whether the toilet is starting from cold
• The number and timing of consecutive visits

Using the stated consumption as a guide, a 9kg LPG bottle provides approximately 60 individual incineration cycles. 4. Diesel costs for the Cinderella Travel Diesel

The Cinderella Travel Diesel uses approximately 150–250ml of diesel per incineration cycle, along with a small amount of 12V DC power for its controls and ventilation fan.

The exact amount of diesel used depends on the volume of waste, surrounding temperature and whether the toilet is starting from cold or is already warm from a previous cycle.

These figures are per incineration cycle, rather than per toilet visit. Several visits may be processed within the same operating period, which can reduce the average fuel cost per use.

Diesel prices vary by location and fuel supplier, so actual costs may differ. The Travel Diesel is generally suited to motorhomes, caravans and other mobile applications where diesel is already available onboard. The 12V electricity required for the controls and ventilation is minimal compared with the diesel used for incineration.

5. Cleaning and maintenance costs

Cinderella toilets are designed for routine owner maintenance rather than frequent professional servicing.

Regular maintenance includes:

• Emptying the ash container
• Cleaning or steam-cleaning the ash container
• Rinsing the catalytic converter when required
• Cleaning the ventilation pipes
• Removing ash and residue from accessible internal components
• Checking that the air intake and flue remain clear

Four people using a Cinderella toilet for one week produce only around one teacup of sterile ash, and Cinderella generally recommends checking or emptying the ash container approximately weekly during regular use.
