A complete gas bayonet connection and restraint kit for installing a compliant, serviceable gas connection for the Cinderella Freedom LPG incineration toilet in New Zealand.

The kit allows the toilet to be disconnected from the fixed gas supply during servicing while the safety restraint helps prevent the appliance from being moved before the bayonet hose is released. The supplied installation design requires the bayonet fitting to be installed on the gas supply side, not directly onto the toilet.

Key installation requirements

The kit is designed around the documented New Zealand bayonet installation requirements for the Cinderella Freedom toilet:

• The hose assembly must remain permanently connected to the toilet.
• The hose should be as short as practical and must not exceed 900mm.
• A restraining wire or chain must be secured to both the appliance and the wall.
• The restraint length must not exceed 80% of the hose length.
• The restraint attachment points must be positioned within 50mm of the gas connection points.
• The bayonet socket must be fitted with a permanently attached dust plug when not in use.
• Permanent signage must identify the connection as being for the toilet only.
• The hose should only be disconnected when servicing the toilet.

Product description

The Cinderella Freedom Gas Bayonet Safety Kit brings together the connection, restraint and identification components required for a professional bayonet-style gas installation.

The stainless steel braided hose allows the toilet to be disconnected when servicing is required, while the supplied wire rope, carabiners, grips and anchor fittings create a physical restraint between the toilet and the wall. This helps prevent the appliance from being moved far enough to place strain on the gas hose before the bayonet connection is released.

A plug with trace wire protects the unused bayonet socket from being used if the toilet is disconnected, while the engraved metal disc clearly identifies the gas point as being for the toilet only.

All gas installation, testing and certification must be completed by an authorised practitioner. The installer must also complete the required installation documentation.
