All Cinderella toilet models are constructed from highly durable parts. A correctly installed toilet with regular maintenance the toilet has a life span of 10+ years. Cinderella Incineration toilets are covered for defects in materials or workmanship for the period of three years from the original date of purchase for domestic use and a 1 year warranty for commercial or semi commercial use. ECOASH holds readily available replacement parts in New Zealand.

The Cinderella toilets are a hygienic toileting system that reduces faeces, urine and cotton sanitary products to an inert ash. The ash chamber heats up to 550 - 600 degrees Celsius killing all bacteria and viruses. There is no risk of coming into contact with live components. The waste material is incinerated after every use. The toilet exterior, seat and hatch are easily cleaned with general cleaning products.

This clause relates to sanitary fixtures and sanitary appliances using water-borne waste disposal. The Cinderella toilet is a waterless toilet. Our toilets are a hygienic alternative to conventional toilets. Please refer to the above paragraph under Building Code Clause G1.

Requires the safe use and distribution of electricity. The electric powered Comfort toilet is supplied with a NZ approved 10 amp, 250 V AC, 2 Pole 3 Wire Grounding Type I plug with a 2.5m cable length. The toilet can be plugged into an existing approved 220 – 240V AC 10amp household plug. If there is no power point available, one should be installed by a certified Electrician.
The Freedom and Travel toilets use a 12V DC battery instead of mains power.

Clause G4 aims to protect people from illness or discomfort caused by inadequate ventilation.
The toilet features an internal fan that activates automatically when the seat is lifted. This extractor fan removes fumes from the incineration chamber, directing them through a catalytic converter that filters out any remaining odours and emissions. All waste is heated to 550°C, reducing it to inert ash within the chamber. The internal fan will run until the toilet has cooled down.
Cinderella Comfort and Cinderella Travel are based on a closed air system. This system with a controlled intake and exhaust system ensures optimal incineration and energy consumption.
All Cinderella toilets are supplied with their own ventilation system. The ventilation pipes and installation instructions are supplied with every toilet and the instructions can be downloaded from our website https://www.ecoash.co.nz/installation
The Cinderella Freedom toilets are supplied with their own ventilation system including a room ventilation terminal/duct, exhaust pipes to ensure optimal incineration and ventilation. If you have a Freedom toilet and have an extractor fan in a bathroom where the toilet is located simply do not turn on the extractor fan when the toilet is in use. The reason for this is not that it will cause illness or discomfort to people, but this toilet draws in oxygen under the toilet to help with the burning process and a bathroom fan extracts oxygen from the room. This could result in the toilet pausing until it is reset with good oxygen flow.

Objectives of clauses within Clause C is to protect from a fire.
The Cinderella toilets have the following built in safety features to prevent a fire or hazard:
The incineration process is inactive while the toilet lid is open. The incineration will not start until the seat and lid are closed.
The hatch to the incineration chamber CANNOT remain open while the toilet is still hot (e.g. during cleaning).
This is only possible when the toilet has cooled down and the fan has stopped.
Should a ventilation problem arise and the internal temperature of the toilet increases to more than 105 °C, incineration will be interrupted and a warning message displayed. This is secured by a mechanical cut-off switch directly connected to the power supply. This situation requires a manual reset to ensure the ventilation issue is addressed before the toilet can be used again.
If the ash container is improperly positioned after emptying, incineration will not start and a warning light and message will be displayed.
If the combustion chamber hatch mechanism gets jammed or is prevented from closing properly, incineration will not start and an error message will be displayed.
The Cinderella smart software includes a ’’watchdog’’ function that monitors the temperature while incineration is taking place. If any deviations from the normal temperature range are detected, this will immediately result in the incineration stopping and a warning message being displayed.

Section 12 prohibits the operation of a high-temperature hazardous waste incinerator.
However, high temperature is classed as >850 degrees. Our toilets operate ‘up to 600 degrees’ it wouldn’t qualify as a ‘high temperature’ system.

Cinderella Comfort and Cinderella Travel are based on a closed air system. This system has a controlled intake and exhaust system and ensures optimal incineration and energy consumption.
Cinderella Freedom has the same exhaust system but it uses an air inlet vent. This vent has an adjustable lid on the opening that can be closed ONLY when the toilet is not in use.

The Norwegian energy commission has tested the flue emissions from the toilets and emissions are well below international standards.
At ground level, carbon monoxide (CO), sulphur dioxide (SOs) and hydrogen flourid (HF) are significantly lower than environmental quality standards for air. Nitrogen dioxide emissions (NO2) may temporarily exceed the Norwegian air quality standard in adverse dispersion conditions, but the concentration at ground level is probably on par with emissions from a modern wood boiler. Greenhouse gas emissions co2 (CO2) and methane (CH4) are very low. Emissions of hydrochloric acid (HCl ́-) and ammonia (NH3) are low and is not considered to have any adverse health or environmental effects. (Test Report available on request)
The catalytic converter is the primary air duct between the incineration chamber and the appliance flue terminal and stops any bad odours. We give detailed information on the toilet maintenance on our website and in manuals supplied with the toilet, along with the ability to book a service as required.
